Speaker: Richard Hughes

Topic: From outputs to impact. How projects can make a difference..

In this session, Dr. Richard Hughes explores how projects can move beyond deliverables to create lasting impact. Using the Outputs-Outcomes-Value-Impact model, he offers practical strategies to ensure project results align with organisational goals and community needs. Participants will gain insights and methods to bridge the gap between project completion and long-term success, inspiring a more impact-driven approach to project management.

There will be a short presentation followed by a panel discussion with our panelists below:

Leigh Hambly MPM: experienced project manager specialising in digital transformation, health, aged care, and homelessness.
Dr Ross Yates CPPD, ChPP:  fellow and Certified Practising Project Director (AIPM) with cross-sector expertise in engineering, mining, education, healthcare, government, defence and non-profits.
Tim Roach FCPA: extensive career featuring project ownership and leadership as a senior public servant.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Recognise the importance of focusing on project impact beyond immediate outputs.
  • Explore the Outputs-Outcomes-Value-Impact model to connect projects with organisational goals. Identify strategies to transform project results into sustained benefits for organisations and communities.
