Women in Project Management Series. Women focused, all people welcome.

Unconscious bias are the attitudes or stereotypes that affect our understanding, actions and decisions without our conscious awareness. These biases can influence what happens in the workplace, often leading to unfair treatment of individuals based on characteristics like race, gender or age. In this hands-on session, we will learn how to identify them, in other people and in ourselves, and more importantly how to break them, leading towards better inclusivity.

Join us for an interactive 2-hour learning experience where we will explore unconscious bias, understand how it influences project environments, and develop practical strategies to build more inclusive and effective leadership. Rather than a traditional presentation, the workshop will encourage discussion, reflection, and shared learning through facilitated table conversations.

Learning outcomes

  • Participants will:
  • Recognise common unconscious biases
  • Share experiences in a safe environment
  • Identified practical tactics to deal with bias
  • Learn practical approaches to creating inclusive project teams
  • Build new professional connections

For this event attendance, PMI Members will earn 1 PDU.

The event is being held in person.
